My Uncon 2025 Recap

Las Vegas isn’t usually where you’d find me—especially not at a big event like a direct sales convention. I’m a small-town girl, a self-care business owner, and I like simple things like skincare, comfy pants, my puppies, and avoiding casinos. But when Perfectly Posh announced their 2025 Uncon event in Vegas, I decided it was time to push myself and say yes to something new.

View’s pretty, but let’s be real… I was mostly just trying to figure out the elevator with my key card and not getting too close to the window (fear of heights lol)

I played the slots once ~ with $20 my grandpa gave me. He said we’d split the winnings. I told him, “Sure… but if I lose, I am not paying you back.” (Spoiler: I lost.)

I met amazing women from across the country, all part of this entrepreneur community that lifts each other up—whether you’re a seasoned leader or someone who just started sharing skincare products you love.

And I’ll say this… it challenged me. I faced my fears. But I grew from it.

I even ended up on the VIP list. Total imposter syndrome kicked in. I was supposed to be recognized Saturday, but I was leaving early, so a fellow VIP switched days with me. I was grateful but still felt like I shouldn’t be there, standing in the center of that conference room… way outta my comfort zone.

Then came dancing. I do not dance. High school trauma flashback: someone once told me I looked like I was riding a horse when I danced. 🫠 But at these events, you either dance like a goof or stand like a fool. So I danced. Badly. But I danced.

Oh yeah ~ forgot to mention we also had to lip sync on stage. In French, to a song from Burlesque. I can’t sing in English, let alone French. But hey, I did it.
